Something i learnt was Matariki is the central star, this is the mother of the star cluster, it represents reflection, hope, gathering of people, reflecting to the past and looking forward to the future ahead of them.

Something i enjoyed was we got to collaborate which made it easier and it was way more funnier.

Kauri Dieback

LI: To understand the story behind our flag

Our challenge today was to use the links provided and our own smart searching skills to find out what Kauri dieback is and what we need to do to try and prevent this from spreading. We need to know about this so that we do our part to keep our Kauri safe when we go on hike at camp. I worked with Kane and we found it interesting that Kauri dieback disease is having a devastating effect on our kauri trees and the forest ecosystem that relies on them.

When The Disease is spreading the Tree Begins to fall and when it falls the Kauri Dieback Get out and the go find another Kauri Tree.

Evolution of the NZ Flag

LI: To understand the story behind our flag

This Year Our challenge today was to create a collaborative presentation that reflects the story behind our NZ flag. We did this by looking at how our flag has changed over time. Something I found interesting was The United Nz flag was made in 1834 designed by Henry Williams. Britain saw New Zealand as a individual nation and think of the mana from the chiefs

Sisters of the Secret Realms

Once upon a time, there were two sisters who had to be separated because they lived in a secret realm that was attacked. They took an autopilot plane and were meant to land together, but something went wrong. One sister landed in the water, while the other landed next to a castle. Ariel turned into a mermaid when she woke up, and Belle was found by a prince who was under a spell—whoever saw him thought he looked like a beast, but he was actually a wizard who had cast the spell himself. The spell could only be broken if he found true love. The realm was in a hidden place called The Troll, and it was attacked by their worst enemy, The Hole, known for creating the largest black holes in the world.

Ariel saw a wizard who could cast spells, and she asked him if he could help her find her siblings. When the wizard did his magic, she saw two brothers—one who looked like a prince and the other a beast. She was shocked because the beast was in the same place as her sister, Belle. Ariel was astonished to discover she had brothers, and surprisingly, the two brothers didn’t even know they were siblings.

Ariel asked the wizard if she could have a boat and legs. The wizard agreed but warned her that in 24 hours she would turn back into a mermaid. Ariel accepted, got her legs, and set off to find her brothers and sisters. Unaware of the challenges ahead, she encountered big waves and saw a boat with a man who looked like her brother. She revealed to the prince that they were siblings. Just then, they encountered a wizard who tried to strike them with lightning, but they needed to find their sibling quickly. Ariel wasn’t scared; she was amazing, and the prince was surprised at how well she could navigate the boat.

U10 Hakula East

Last weekend on Saturday I went to my rugby game for Hakula Tonga Rugby League.  We had to get ready for our marching.  It’s when you go where Tongan church clothes and march with the other teams. Then when we came back we did a team photo, Darius was in our team too.

Our first game was against the Cook Island team, and our second game was against Hakula South and our last game was against the Māori team.  We tied with Cook Island and Hakula South but on our last game we lost by 3 points.  It was really fun I scored 2 tries at every game.  My favourite part was the food.  There are the photos that Miss Tele’a sent us from the tournament.
