Legs Legs Legs

For our summer learning journey activity, you had to make a prosthetic leg, the prosthetic leg was from an elephant, the task was kinda hard but also fun at the same time because the hard part was alining it and the easiest part was making it look cool, something i enjoyed was using diffrent type of tools, here is my elephant

  1. Malo e lelei Vaingalo! This is Matua Peter from the Summer Learning Journey. It is awesome to see you taking on the Legs Legs Legs Kick Start challenge and sharing your creative process with us!

I’d like to share a mīharo (wonderful/amazing) acknowledgement for the honesty you shared about your learning process. I really liked how you identified that while “making it look cool” was easy, “alining it” was the part that challenged you—that kind of reflection is exactly what makes a great learner!

Your post reminds me of my Cybersmart lessons in LS1 , where we talk about being resilient when we find tasks “kinda hard”. It’s great to see you using “different type of tools” to solve problems and create something you are proud of.

To help your readers engage even more with your work, could you share a few more specifics about your design? For example:

What inspired the specific red, white, and black colours you chose for the prosthetic?

Which tool was the most useful when you were trying to align the leg correctly?

Also, don’t forget about your badges! Make sure you are checking your profile to see the one you have earned for completing this summer activity.

This is a great start, Vaingalo. I’m looking forward to seeing your next creative project!

    Mālō ‘aupito,

    Matua Peter
